In this module we’re going to take a look at a very common problem in HPLC – extra peaks and contamination. What we’ll see is that these types of problems come from a huge range of potential sources, making the problem much more complex than it often appears, with the associated difficulty in identifying the source of the problem. We’ll look at the main types of contamination, the potential sources, defining the problem and main types of investigational re-analysis. The module is supplemented by real life case study workshops, in which you have a virtual HPLC that allows you to select what additional investigations you’d like to perform.
